About the role
Rocket Travel by Agoda is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee general accounting tasks, including month-end close, AP/AR processing, and treasury activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely closing entries and reviews of the close task list.
- Perform high-level reviews of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts with the Controller to maintain financial statement completeness and accuracy.
- Manage monthly account reconciliation processes for Balance Sheet accounts and prepare corresponding journal entries.
- Assist the Risk & Controls Manager in implementing SOX readiness plans and documenting procedures.
- Support the Salesforce Optimization project by implementing best practices and metrics for the team.
- Review and approve journal entries to ensure accurate recording and correct financial statement impacts.
- Oversee timely processing and reconciliation of invoices, managing AP functions and ensuring timely payment processing.
- Monitor and manage treasury activities, reviewing wire/ACH payments, wire templates, and weekly cash reconciliations.
- Review and approve A/R invoices and account statements, ensuring adherence to credit and collections policies.
- Manage employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement to employees.
- Lead and mentor the accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Take initiative and drive results, adapting to unstructured tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- A business-related degree with a preference for Accounting; a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- A strong proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Familiarity with Oracle and Salesforce systems.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work in a small team environment.
- An ability to demonstrate attention to detail and an analytic approach to problem-solving.
