Accounting Manager / Bookkeeper

About the role

We are hiring an Accounting Manager to own the financial operations that keep Frame running cleanly and confidently. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, working closely with leadership as we scale. Accuracy and speed matter—you will be the person who catches things before they become problems.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Run month-end and year-end close processes accurately and on time
• Manage bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Prepare financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for leadership review
• Coordinate payroll and vendor payments
• Maintain audit readiness and support external accountants and tax preparers

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in a startup or fintech environment
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent accounting software
• Strong grasp of GAAP and general accounting principles
• High attention to detail—you find errors before anyone else does
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment with limited guidance

Nice-to-have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or a similarly regulated industry
• Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-currency accounting
• Experience supporting a finance or CFO function through a growth phase
• CPA or CPA candidacy
• Someone who treats clean books as a craft rather than a chore
• Ability to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and comfort owning your scope with limited oversight
• Strong focus on getting the details right, especially when no one is checking
