Accounting Manager

Vaco is partnering with a growing and established organization to hire an Accounting Manager. This position will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit support, and process improvement initiatives while leading and developing a team of accounting professionals. Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Review and oversee complex accounting areas including ASC 842 lease accounting, fixed assets/capex, accruals, revenue share, and operating expenditures
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Coordinate intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
• Support financial reporting, internal controls, and audit activities
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and emerging business initiatives
• Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
• Participate in systems implementations, automation efforts, and process improvement initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff in a collaborative team environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Public accounting experience highly preferred
• Corporate accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes
• Hands-on experience with ASC 842 lease accounting, intercompany accounting, and fixed assets accounting
• Experience with business combination accounting preferred
• Experience working in a multi-entity or complex operating environment preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Compensation & Benefits

• $135,000-$150,000 base salary
• Comprehensive benefits package
• Hybrid schedule with 4 days in office (Monday-Thursday)
