Main Responsibilities
- Provides end-to-end accounting leadership and financial insight into Distribution Center operations.
- Reports to the Controller and oversees financial close, reporting, internal controls, and analysis.
- Leads the accounting team and partners closely with operational leaders to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Identifies financial risks, trends, and control issues and escalates insights that impact forecast accuracy, compliance, and operational decision-making.
- Maintains and monitors accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Reviews expense payments (including purchase card activity) to ensure compliance with approval and control standards.
- Oversees capital expenditure accounting, validates savings initiatives, and tracks assets.
- Supports Inventory Control to ensure financial integrity, inventory accuracy, and related reporting.
- Analyzes financial and operational results, identifies trends, and highlights risks and opportunities.
- Publishes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and dashboards.
- Develops and publishes advanced analytic tools and models using Microsoft Excel.
- Prepares ad hoc analyses to support operational, strategic, and special project needs.
- Communicates effectively with internal partners and external vendors regarding financial questions, payments, and deductions.
- Collaborates with Distribution Center leadership to support business decisions.
- Develops and leads a team to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Progressive accounting experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or retail environments.
- Prior people-management or team-lead experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and period-end close processes.
- Solid understanding of inventory systems and distribution/warehouse cost structures.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence across levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Essbase or similar).
- Knowledge and experience with Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, SQL and BigQuery.
