Responsibilities
- Direct daily treasury activities, including monitoring cash positions and supporting short- and long-term liquidity planning.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards.
- Oversight of accounting for both corporate entities and property assets, maintaining reliable records across multiple reporting structures.
- Management of lender reporting and covenant tracking to support debt compliance requirements and meet external deadlines.
- Production of portfolio and property performance reports that provide clear financial insight to internal stakeholders.
- Supervision of month-end close processes, including journal entry review and balance sheet reconciliation, to ensure timely completion.
- Support of budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing historical results, current trends, and asset-level performance data.
- Contribution to accounting workflow improvements, including work related to Timberline and related reconciliation processes, as needed.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Prior experience in commercial real estate accounting is required.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, general ledger oversight, and journal entry review.
- Experience preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate reconciliations.
- Knowledge of property accounting and portfolio-level financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting reporting deadlines.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
