Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and management reports that highlight operating results, spending trends, cash activity, and overall financial performance
- Evaluate financial exposure and performance trends, then recommend practical actions to address risks and improve results
- Provide leadership with regular, timely insight into financial status, business performance, and progress across organizational initiatives
- Manage external and internal audit support activities by coordinating documentation, resolving inquiries, and ensuring readiness throughout the review process
- Prepare and submit accounting and financial reports needed for regulatory and compliance purposes
- Oversee banking relationships, including cash management activities and authorization of appropriate treasury transactions
- Direct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and related general ledger review to maintain accurate records
- Own the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring journal entries, account analysis, and reporting are completed accurately and on schedule
- Administer tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions and support payroll-related accounting oversight
- Maintain the chart of accounts, strengthen financial controls, and help ensure required legal and regulatory filings are completed in accordance with applicable standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 8 to 10 years strongly preferred
- Strong background in month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Experience preparing financial reports in accordance with GAAP and supporting audit preparation activities
- Knowledge of internal controls, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations within a multi-entity environment
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, along with hands-on experience using NetSuite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly with leadership, and drive process improvement initiatives
