About the role
You'll be the first dedicated accounting hire at Reflection. This is a foundational role: you'll own accounting operations and compliance across our jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve our monthly close process, currently managed by an external bookkeeping firm.
- Coordinate across entities to ensure accurate, timely financials.
- Own the full Accounts Payable (AP) cycle, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliation.
- Manage payroll across the US and UK (via providers), ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.
- Own expense approval workflows, set and enforce expense policies, and manage the reimbursement process.
- Ensure all tax filings and compliance obligations are completed on time and accurately across jurisdictions, managing relationships with external tax advisors.
- Coordinate prospective audits across US and UK entities, preparing documentation, liaising with auditors, and remediating findings.
- Lead evaluation and implementation of systems changes as needed, supporting revenue recognition, international entity consolidation, and scale.
- Provide treasury reporting and support liquidity management across entities and currencies.
Requirements
- Experience as an early accounting hire at a high-growth, venture-backed company.
- 4-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity and international accounting experience (intercompany, multi-currency, statutory reporting).
- Track record of building processes from scratch in an unstructured environment.
- Experience implementing new tools, including ERP/system of record migrations.
- Comfortable being deeply hands-on while also thinking strategically about what the function needs next.
- CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
