Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances
- Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws
- Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information
- Work closely with the financial management team to create budgets and financial forecasts
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reports
- Monitor the financial performance of the company
- Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate with tax accountants to ensure compliance and accurate and timely tax returns
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- MBA or related advanced degree preferred
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
- Understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
- Working knowledge of MSFT Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
- Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes
Pay
$90,000 - $120,000 per year
