Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the Medical industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information, including preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting models, conduct variance analysis, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Cook up and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Continually review and improve financial processes for efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Lead and direct accounting staff to ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in the medical industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
  • Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • A proven track record of working with senior management and providing support that leads to improved decision making.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to summarize large amounts of data and information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
