Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accounting Manager or Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in our financial department, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Inventory Accounting, General Ledger, and Excel. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including month-end and year-end close process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Coordinating and completing annual audits.
• Providing recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Assigning projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Meeting financial accounting objectives.
• Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with strong Inventory accounting.
• Advanced General Ledger (GL) & Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc).
• A strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
• The ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.

Pay

$105,000 - $115,000 per year
