JLL is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for our premier Bank of America account. This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee a talented team managing approximately $3 billion in annual financial operations while serving as the primary accounting liaison for one of JLL's most significant client relationships. In this high-impact role, you'll combine technical accounting expertise with strategic leadership, developing a team of four accountants across multiple service lines while ensuring rigorous financial controls and GAAP compliance.
This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work with one on-site visit per week, allowing you to balance professional leadership with work-life integration.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Manage and develop a team of four accountants across four distinct service lines, providing coaching, performance feedback, and technical guidance to ensure operational excellence and professional growth.
- Oversight of comprehensive cash management across all bank accounts and processing vendor payments totaling approximately $3 billion annually, maintaining strict financial controls throughout.
- Preparation of month-end accounting packages in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards, including financial reports, bank reconciliations, cash logs, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting and reviewing accounting entries for cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accruals, reclassifications, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Conducting general ledger research, resolving reconciliation matters, and responding promptly to client inquiries with exceptional service.
- Leading the implementation of new accounting processes while ensuring ongoing compliance with established account structures and evolving client requirements.
- Driving your team to operate with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy through quality control measures, process improvements, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required for this position.
- You must have 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong technical foundation in GAAP principles and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience managing accounting teams and developing talent is essential to success in this leadership role.
- Prominent ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while adapting effectively to dynamic environments and maintaining sound financial controls is critical.
- You must possess exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to drive these standards across your team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex ad-hoc accounting issues independently and collaboratively are necessary.
- Highly responsive communication style and commitment to client service excellence, with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact, complete the required profile.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification is strongly preferred and demonstrates advanced technical competency.
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and their practical application in complex service environments is highly valued.
- Prior experience managing large-scale cash operations or high-volume vendor payment processing will position you for immediate impact.
- Familiarity with corporate banking relationships and multi-account cash management structures is advantageous.
- Background working in professional services, real estate services, or corporate facilities management industries provides relevant context.
- Experience implementing accounting process improvements or leading system implementations demonstrates change management capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency with enterprise accounting systems and financial reporting tools will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
