Accounting Manager

About the role

In this position, you will oversee accounting operations for assigned entities, including monthly close, financial reporting, consolidated financial statements, audit support, and compliance with applicable accounting standards while contributing to process improvements and financial management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Record vendor invoices and customer billing transactions in the general ledger
• Process vendor payments and customer receipts accurately and timely
• Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, loans, and accrued expenses
• Perform and review monthly closing activities
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting packages
• Conduct fluctuation analysis of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements
• Enhance accounting systems and operational capabilities
• Participate in special finance and accounting projects
• Serve as a subject matter resource for accounting operations
• Provide administrative support including visitor coordination and business travel arrangements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent related experience
• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience using accounting software systems
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• English language proficiency required

Preferred Qualifications

• Japanese language skills
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS

Pay

USD $70,000 - $100,000 (DOE)
