Accounting Manager

About the Role

Century Group is partnering with a client seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting activities related to online sales channels, payment platforms, and third-party marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities for online sales channels, payment platforms, and third-party marketplaces to ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage inventory accounting processes, including product costing, inventory tracking, margin analysis, and inventory reconciliations.
• Lead month-end close activities and prepare financial reports, profitability analyses, and performance metrics across business channels.
• Maintain and improve accounting system integrations to promote accurate transaction processing and efficient financial reporting.
• Support tax compliance efforts, accounting process improvements, and staff training initiatives across the finance department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities within an e-commerce, retail, or consumer products environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and business system integrations.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced business environment.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting certification.
• Previous experience supporting multiple online sales channels, payment processors, and marketplace platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with experience training and supporting team members.
• Self-motivated professional with a hands-on approach to process improvements, system optimization, and operational efficiency.

Pay

Expected starting base salary of $95,000 to $120,000 per year, varying based on skills, experience, and location.
