Responsibilities
- Aid in processing vendor invoices and AIA billing using ComputerEase software.
- Assist in reconciling month end reports to the general ledger.
- Contribute to the development of month end Work In Process Reporting, collaborating with Project Managers.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, design and build Microsoft Excel-based pivot tables.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns for various local and state entities.
- Collaborate with the controller and project managers to obtain and renew contractor and business licenses.
- Post various journal entries, including job cost accruals and insurance.
- Participate in month end close and prepare financial statements for multiple entities.
- Perform miscellaneous monthly account reconciliations as assigned.
- Assume other duties and special projects as necessary.
- Back-up Accounts Payable as needed.
Qualifications
- Construction accounting experience.
- 4+ years of receivable experience preferred.
- Understanding of AIA billing format.
- Understanding of lien waiver processes.
- ComputerEase experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Customer service oriented and excellent communication skills.
- Accuracy, organization, and attention to detail essential in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in other accounting areas desirable.
