About the role

The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close process and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's accounting policies, and that the policies and financial statements are compliant with GAAP and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with FP&A for the monthly review of financial results.
  • Active involvement in ERP system implementation.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations monthly.
  • Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries to support financial statements including but not limited to inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and intercompany.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
  • Prepare and file annual personal property tax returns.
  • Coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Five years or more of related experience required.
  • Two or more years of experience managing others.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), auditing practices, and applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Experience with Great Plains or Microsoft D365, QuickBooks, TCR, and Visual Lease preferred, but not required.

Pay

Salary range is $105,000–$127,000 with annual bonus.
