Accounting Manager

About the role

Aduro Advisors is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support our top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in audit, alternative asset industry, or fund administration, with a minimum of 2 years in a client-facing role. Experience with accounting systems such as Xero and QuickBooks, and proficiency in software systems like Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero during the month-end close process and raise follow-up questions to the Controller or client (if appropriate)
• Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements
• Work closely with the Controller to manage client relationships, ensuring a client-facing approach
• Prepare draft investor correspondence in the proprietary FundPanel system, including capital contribution notices, distribution notices, quarterly reporting, and capital account statements
• Maintain investor information, investment information, and other fund metrics in the FundPanel system
• Maintain legal documents including formation documents, investment documents, and other relevant client information in Box
• Prepare and obtain documents for annual audit and tax processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit, alternative asset industry, or fund administration
• Experience in a client-facing role supporting multiple clients
• Natural curiosity and a drive to learn and improve
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
• Comfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack

Pay

The salary range for the Accounting Manager position is $70,000 - $110,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level.
