Job Summary Barrett Paving Materials Inc., Internship program is designed to provide a hands-on accounting experience supporting the aggregates and ready-mix industry. Working alongside experienced accounting professionals, the intern will assist with routine accounting activities. Main Responsibilities Assist the accounting team with month end closingEnter, review, and validate information within accounting systemsPrepare spreadsheets, reports and supporting documentationAssist with account reconciliations and research discrepanciesWork with accounting staff to identify and resolve routine issuesLearn how financial information supports operations Skills Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial inProficiency in Mircrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OutlookStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to organize assignments and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentiality when working with financial in Education Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Colas Inc.
