Accounting Coordinator
Position Summary
Verbit is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Coordinator to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for handling basic accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing administrative support to the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable
- Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Verify invoices and supporting documentation.
- Aid in payment processing, including ACH, wire, and check payments.
- Maintain vendor records and respond to routine vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve basic discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable
- Upload invoices and post revenue.
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Respond to routine customer billing inquiries.
- General Accounting Support
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
- Aid in account reconciliations and month-end activities.
- Enter and update financial information within accounting systems.
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
