About the role
The Accounting Clerk provides purchasing, administrative, and finance support to UCFS, a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Receives, reviews, and processes purchase requests from internal departments.
- Creates, issues, and maintains purchase orders in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
- Affords administrative assistance to the Finance Department.
- Reconciles vendor statements and assists in resolving invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Provides support for Accounts Payable functions as backup.
- Assists with special projects and other departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, with 1 year experience in bookkeeping, clerical, or billing operations.
- An associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience with purchasing, procurement, accounting, ERP, or financial software is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and organizational information.

Schedule
FT, 40 hours/week; Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
