Key Responsibilities
- Maintain client financial records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Process payroll and assist with payroll-related reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Review financial transactions and ensure proper classification and coding.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping requests, account inquiries, and supporting documentation.
- Aid in month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Maintain organized client files and accounting records.
- Support tax preparation efforts by gathering and organizing financial information.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Owner.
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience preferred.
- Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
- Basic payroll processing experience.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting terminology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
