Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities
- Enter large volumes of financial and operational information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain organized records by reviewing, updating, and validating account details and supporting documentation.
- Aid with invoice entry and ensure payment-related information is recorded correctly and on time.
- Create and update vendor profiles, keeping supplier information current and complete within company systems.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities through accurate data handling and record maintenance.
- Use QuickBooks and Excel to track transactions, reconcile information, and prepare basic accounting support files.
- Identify discrepancies in entered data and follow up to correct errors before they affect reporting or processing.
Requirements
- Prior experience in data entry, accounting support, or clerical finance work.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, and invoice processing practices.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across repetitive tasks.
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliable organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload effectively.
