Responsibilities

  • Manage customer account follow-up to resolve outstanding balances and maintain consistent collections activity.
  • Aid with both incoming and outgoing accounting transactions, including support for accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows.
  • Prepare and record payments, process invoices, and help coordinate check distribution accurately and on time.
  • Handle routine errands tied to office operations, including visits to the bank and post office when needed.
  • Enter order information and provide broad administrative support that helps day-to-day business functions run smoothly.
  • Organize mailed payments and accounting documents while maintaining accurate records for ongoing financial activity.
  • Serve as a dependable point of support in a busy office where vendors, drivers, and other visitors regularly come through.
  • Contribute to general accounting tasks using Sage and related office systems in support of the accounting manager.
  • Pitch in across multiple functions as priorities shift within a lean team environment.
  • Support ongoing operational processes for the acquired Martin Containers business as part of daily accounting and office needs.
  • Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections in an office setting.
  • Ability to process invoices, enter financial data accurately, and manage detailed transactional records.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks.
  • Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy, timeliness, and organization.
  • Comfortable working onsite in Carson, California within a casual, industrial office environment.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation to complete occasional bank and post office runs.
  • Able to adapt to a hands-on role that combines accounting support with general administrative responsibilities.
