About the role
The Accounting Clerk supports the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department at Claiborne Senior Living. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, keeping information organized, solving discrepancies, and helping financial processes run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations through accurate recordkeeping and document management
- Aid with accounts payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and processing
- Assist with accounts receivable, including billing, deposits, and payment tracking
- Manage and reconcile company credit card activity and supporting documentation
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and ledger entries to identify discrepancies
- Prepare accounting reports and maintain accurate financial records
- Research and correct transaction or account discrepancies as needed
- Partner with accountants and accounting leadership to support department workflows and deadlines
Requirements
- Previous administrative, clerical, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organization, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning accounting software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred
