Accounting Clerk: Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for someone to share in that vision and join our Corporate Accounting team in the Accounts Receivable Role.
About the role
Our Accounts Receivable Specialist position is an essential part of our Corporate accounting team. This position has broad involvement with our residents, families, and various payee sources from admission to discharge and works closely with our administrators, admissions staff, CFO, and other accounting department members.
Responsibilities
- Accurate invoicing and timely posting of payments
- Collection techniques following accounts receivable best practices
- Monthly aging reports
- Bed-turnover analysis
- Rent studies
- Reconciliations and adjustments
- Reporting to appropriate third parties as needed
- Travel between sites in Eugene and Springfield as required
Requirements
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
- Resourceful and creative problem-solver
- Two-year accounting degree (preferred) or a combination of education and experience
- Two years of accounting experience with emphasis in accounts receivable
- Sage Intacct accounting software experience (helpful)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Effective written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check upon conditional job offer
