From our inception in 1965, through our sale to Krupp-WIDIA in 1987, and since being purchased by our current private-family owners in 1993, Ultra-Met Carbide Technologies has remained the leading independent American manufacturer of custom-molded tungsten carbide products.
About the role
We have 90 highly skilled employees, backed by ownership dedicated to growing our business in several key markets, including aerospace, automotive, oil-and-gas, mining and woodworking, to name a few.
Responsibilities
- Design and manufacture custom-molded tungsten carbide products
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Ensure product quality and meet production deadlines
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tungsten carbide manufacturing or related field
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and materials science
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
