About the role
Accounting Assistant supports daily accounting operations by assisting in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other department activities.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation, review, and maintenance of financial records and reports.
- Aid in the processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents (digital and physical).
- Aid in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding billing and payment inquiries.
- Perform data entry and update accounting software with accurate information.
- Assist with development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard the park’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with select payroll related reviews and submissions, annual audit preparations and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships acceptable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Adobe, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience
- Desired Skills: Experience with ERP systems, Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP), Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
