About the role

We are seeking an Account Manager-SMB to drive business objectives and obtain commercial targets within defined commercial accounts. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you will search for leads and generate sales.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Results: Identify and build opportunities within commercial accounts; guide prospects/clients through purchasing decisions of Thomson Reuters products and services.
  • Sales Process: Manage the sales cycle from prospect identification to deal closure; utilize OneSource sales methodology.
  • Build Relationships: Manage customer relationships post-sale for upselling; engage and build trusted relationships with C-level executives.
  • Communication: Maintain regular updates in CRM (SFDC) and other systems; deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Client and Market Intelligence: Provide market and competitive information to support internal business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in consultative sales, closing complex software and services sales
  • Track record selling consulting/professional services engagements, balancing new business prospecting, account growth, and upselling
  • Executive presence and C-suite engagement skills, with the ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations
  • Experience developing accurate sales forecasts and reports to support management decision-making
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in fast-paced, results-oriented environments
  • Proven ability to execute innovative sales strategies and lead complex, strategic negotiations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Proficiency with core sales and business tools, including SFDC, email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, and expense/travel management systems

Pay

The target total cash compensation range for this role is $136,500 USD - $253,500 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
