Account Manager, Tax/Trade - FL/GA/NC
About the role
We are seeking an Account Manager-SMB to drive business objectives within our USA market. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, 5+ years of consultative sales, and a proven track record of closing complex software and services sales. A background in accounting/tax is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive Results: Identify and build opportunities within commercial accounts in a defined territory; utilize complex sales skills to guide prospects/clients through their purchasing decisions of Thomson Reuters products and services.
- Sales Process: Manage the sales cycle from identifying prospects, coordinating internal resources, to closing deals; execute OneSource sales methodology.
- Build Relationships: Manage customer relationships post-sale for upselling; engage and build trusted relationships with Director, V, and C-level executives.
- Communication: Maintain regular updates in CRM (SFDC) and other systems; deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to both small and large groups.
- Client and Market Intelligence: Provide territory market and competitive information to Thomson Reuters for internal business decisions and positions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales
- 5+ years’ experience in consultative sales, closing complex software and services sales
- Strong executive presence and C-suite engagement skills
- Experience developing accurate sales forecasts and reports
- Proven ability to execute innovative sales strategies and lead complex negotiations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership skills
- Proficiency with core sales and business tools, including SFDC, email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, and expense/travel management systems

Pay
The target total cash compensation range for this role is $136,500 USD - $253,500 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
