About the Role
This position is of critical importance, as this individual will represent a sales organization committed to delivering exceptional results through a customer-focused, high-performance team. The role requires a strong leader who builds trust, operates with transparency and ethics, and effectively communicates complex scientific information.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages and therapeutic area disease-state information to target HCPs.
- Execute business planning and strategy for assigned territory.
- Enhance HCP awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, including clinical data, safety, and efficacy.
- Equip HCPs with tools to facilitate patient education about the assigned therapeutic area.
- Build HCP knowledge and confidence in identifying treatment gaps.
- Increase awareness of the assigned therapeutic area and help HCPs identify treatment gaps in diagnosed patients.
- Achieve call activity, adherence targets, and financial goals for the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
- Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent preferred.
- Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience, preferably in the assigned therapeutic area.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare institutions and commercial managed care; experience selling within healthcare institutions preferred.
- Eye Care/Ophthalmology experience preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight travel; majority of time will be spent in-market.
