Account Manager - Industrial Automation
About the role
The Account Manager - Industrial Automation position requires qualifying new accounts and opportunities or to further a relationship or opportunity with existing customers within Food and Beverage, Government, Water & Wastewater Treatment markets. This role requires someone who is self-sufficient, comfortable working remotely, and is highly motivated to nurture and develop key market verticals.
Responsibilities
- Implement strategy to increase sales and profits from key accounts
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity
- Understand customer business needs and work closely with our supplier partners to help find solutions to meet those needs
- Give presentations on new products, answer questions on products and Company services
- Attain or exceed sales and profit budget
Requirements
- 4+ years experience preferred
- 4 year degree preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has interest (experience preferred) in automation control, specifically PLC & VFDS, motor control, pneumatics, and electrical services.

Pay
The expected salary for this position is starting at $100,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics. This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes. Graybar offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program to support eligible drivers.
