About the role
NextLevel Thinking is seeking an Account Manager to manage several client relationships from day one. You’ll use your experience in marketing and business development to identify what makes a business stand out, then partner with our team to solve their biggest marketing challenges. If you love getting to the why behind every strategy, this role is for you.
Most days you’ll work remotely, with some in-person client meetings in the Houston area. We’re a small, collaborative team that genuinely cares about the work and the people on it.
Responsibilities
- Learn your client's business inside and out to participate meaningfully in strategy discussions and lead marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate our research process (brand audits, competitor analysis, customer interviews) to uncover what makes our clients different from their competitors.
- Bridge strategy and execution by translating findings into a marketing roadmap when shifting from discovery to action.
- Own implementation: keep projects moving, facilitate monthly check-ins, manage timelines, and ensure on-schedule delivery.
- Write and coordinate content (blogs, emails, social media) to align with the strategic story.
- Work with designers and technical teams to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Monitor results and report back on what’s working and what needs adjustment.
Requirements
- At least 3-4 years in an agency setting managing multiple clients simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM and sales processes, and an understanding of how sales and marketing work together.
- Comfortable with WordPress, email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact), social scheduling tools, data analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, DashThis), and project management software (e.g., Wrike).
- Proficiency with still and video production is a plus.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to distill complex ideas for clients.
- Analytical mindset to interpret data and identify key insights.
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy but knows when to ask for help.
- Desire to work in a smaller, tight-knit environment where collaboration and honesty matter more than politics.
