About This Role

PlanetBids is hiring an Account Executive to own the full sales cycle for VendorLine, our solution built for the vendors, contractors, and suppliers who do business with government agencies.

This is a fast-moving, self-sufficient role — you'll source your own leads, run your own outreach, and close your own deals.

VendorLine has a shorter sales cycle than our core platform, which means more at-bats, faster feedback loops, and real earning potential for someone who thrives in a high-velocity environment.

If you've been in SaaS sales, especially in construction tech, field service, or a similarly contractor-focused space, you already understand the buyer we're targeting and the value we deliver.

This is an individual contributor role with real ownership. You won't be handed a warm pipeline and told to close it. You'll build your book, work your deals, and be recognized for results as we build the sales function for this product line.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a full-cycle B2B SaaS sales role; you've sourced and closed your own deals
  • Background in construction tech, field service software, contractor management, or a related industry strongly preferred; you understand how contractors and vendors operate
  • Demonstrated ability to self-generate pipeline through outbound prospecting; you don't wait for leads to come to you
  • Comfortable with high-velocity, shorter sales cycles; you can manage multiple opportunities simultaneously without letting deals stall
  • HubSpot CRM proficiency required; you keep your pipeline clean and your activity logged without being asked
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills; you ask good questions and match solutions to real problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of crafting outreach that earns a response
  • Highly self-directed and accountable in a remote environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to tradeshows, conferences, training, and corporate events, as needed
  • Must be physically based in the United States and legally authorized to work for any employer
