Account Executive, short-term freelance

About the role

Freelance Account Executive position on the Hyundai Retail team. This is a short-term booking from September 14, 2026 to November 20, 2026 in a hybrid workplace (3 days per week in-office). Candidates must be local to Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adhere to client project or deliverable-specific schedules, including building and maintaining Smartsheet schedules.
• Create project Assignment Summaries.
• Support Director and Supervisor with day-to-day client presentation and engagement responsibilities.
• Manage and route internal and external feedback (copy decks, legal, CSP, etc.).
• Package and share creative working files.
• Schedule and support dialogue for internal meetings, including status meetings, briefings, creative check-ins and reviews, and other process-mandated milestones.
• Coordinate and deliver project-specific documentation including competitive boards, imagery requests, delivery file name confirmation, etc.
• Support client meetings and engagement, including meeting scheduling and note-taking.
• Oversee project-wide file organization.
• Manage process, routing, and delivery for tasks including asset management/metadata.
• Support a variety of project-based requests including opening job numbers.
• Perform QA and track project assets.
• Keep work moving through the system cleanly and predictably.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a full-service advertising agency.
• Knowledge of automotive regional and/or dealership operations is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities.
• Computer proficiency with working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $70,304–$78,000, dependent upon factors including client, experience, training, and transferable skills.
