About the role

We are seeking a Mid-market Account Executive to join our dynamic team at Dovetail. This role involves managing the full sales cycle for mid-market prospects, providing consultative sales support, and helping to scale our AI-powered Customer Intelligence Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from inbound leads to closing deals, using a consultative approach.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles, manage relationships with procurement, IT, and legal teams, and close new business.
  • Create and deliver tailored consultative demonstrations of Dovetail, highlighting its capabilities in handling enterprise-grade security and governance.
  • Become an expert in Dovetail, understanding its features and how it can be used to solve complex problems.
  • Foster strong relationships with prospects, ensuring they are set up for success post-purchase.
  • Contribute to the growth of our global mid-market business, and pioneer new sales practices to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in a consultative sales role for a SaaS business.
  • Proven track record in a high-growth sales environment.
  • Extensive consultative selling skills, adept at navigating complex sales cycles and delivering a delightful customer experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop, report on, and improve sales processes.
  • Adept at using AI tools to prospect, research, and prepare for complex deals.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey thoughts, opinions, and feelings clearly to both customers and teammates.
  • The right attitude towards urgency, risk, and ambiguity, typical of an early-stage startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in AI as a working habit, evidenced by the use of AI tools in prospecting, researching, and preparing for complex deals.
  • Knowledge of Dovetail's capabilities and how it can be used to solve complex problems.
  • An understanding of the market and the ability to effectively help prospects.
