About the role

The Account Executive will report to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for full cycle sales, including procuring and maintaining clients, analyzing needs, submitting estimates, obtaining orders, and following through on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities through direct mail, referrals, trade shows, cold calls, and other marketing practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Negotiate price and terms within the context of company policy.
  • Prepare estimates for managing purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to assist in the preparation of time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for all phases of projects.
  • Maintain quality control through on-site visits to review and gather feedback from Project Managers and customers.
  • Develop, submit, implement, manage, and report on sales goals and business development plans in accordance with company policies and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience, preferably in construction, paving, landscaping, or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of reading and estimating from blueprints.
  • Proven abilities with estimating in a paving, landscaping, or construction type environment.
  • Excellent math and geometry skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
