Account Executive II, 25-99

About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for retaining and growing a territory of valued clients by acting as a trusted, consultative partner. Through superior concierge service, strategic issue resolution, and the effective marketing of BCBSMA's diverse product portfolio, you will be instrumental in strengthening our relationships with brokers and accounts in the 51+ employer segment. This position is eligible for the eWorker, mobile, and resident personas.
Responsibilities
- Drive territory growth and retention by applying strong consultative, solutions-based selling skills, building influential relationships, and negotiating sales to meet or exceed assigned goals.
- Build and manage relationships with key brokers, consultants, and accounts to leverage the position of BCBSMA in the marketplace.
- Promote adoption of engagement products such as Tiered Networks, Consumer Driven Health Plans, Blue Funding Solutions, and Employer-Sponsored Wellness Programs.
- Leverage Marketing tools and programs to inform and train brokers and accounts about the BCBSMA product portfolio, services, and enhancements.
- Manage the renewal process through negotiating pricing and coordinating with internal departments (e.g., Underwriting, Product Management).
- Demonstrate deep competitor and industry knowledge when presenting to the client base.
- Partner with the Account Service team to deliver concierge-level service and ensure the timely resolution of all issues.
- Display exemplary teamwork and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree preferred.
- 5-7 years professional business experience, 3-5 years account management experience.
- Prior sales experience required; healthcare sales experience preferred.
- Massachusetts Life, Accident and Health producer’s license to be obtained within 90 days of start date and specified requirements met to maintain active license status.
- Must demonstrate effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Massachusetts healthcare products, financial arrangements, and service delivery.
- Proven consultative selling skills and sales results.
- Effective verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above.

Pay
Salary Range: $61,383.26 - $75,023.98. The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability. This job is also eligible for variable pay.
