Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary Objectives:
- Generate new business opportunities with CPG brands
- Build and manage outbound prospecting pipeline
- Secure discovery meetings and presentations
- Sell: SaaS tools/platforms, Shopper marketing retainers, Consumer promotions
- Represent the agency at industry events/trade shows
- Build long-term client relationships
- Core Responsibilities:
- Prospecting / Pipeline Development (40–50%):
- Cold calling/email outreach with self-created content
- LinkedIn prospecting
- CRM management via Salesforce
- Building target account lists
- Following up consistently
- Booking meetings
- Sales Process Management (25–35%):
- Discovery calls and qualification with prospective clients
- Proposal coordination with Business Development lead
- Strategic solution selling and pricing discussions
- Industry / Relationship Building (10–20%):
- Trade shows and events
- Partner relationship development
- Internal Collaboration (10–15%):
- Work with account teams
- Aid with proposals
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a relevant field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in client services and/or sales
- Demonstrates an understanding of sales operations and business practices
- In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales techniques and best practices
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines
- Comfortable with negotiation and conversations on pricing
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint presentation creation)
