Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure): Open Rank-Clinical or Clinical Faculty-Geriatric
About the role
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, College of Medicine at Texas A&M University invites applications for two positions in geriatric psychiatry. These positions are anticipated to start in the summer of 2024.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population as a leader of the care team
- Collaborate with other behavioral health providers in the provision of patient care
- Contribute to the departmental, undergraduate medical education, and graduate medical educational programs
- Supervise medical students, residents, and other trainees in the clinical setting
- Attend and participate in related departmental and medical school administrative and committee activities
Requirements
- MD, DO, PhD, JD or equivalent professional degree
- Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency training program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Experience in the psychiatric care of the geriatric patient
