Texas A&M University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, invites applications for full-time or part-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) positions in adult and child & adolescent psychiatry. Appointments are 11-month, renewable annually, with faculty rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or full Professor based on qualifications.
About the role
Join a growing academic clinical enterprise with opportunities in outpatient practice, addictions, emergency, consult/liaison, geriatric psychiatry, and telehealth. Contribute to integrative and collaborative care initiatives with local primary care physicians and participate in the development of a neuro-modulation clinic. The department is actively involved in medical education and has a newly accredited psychiatry residency training program.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population as a leader of the care team
- Collaborate with other behavioral health providers in patient care
- Contribute to departmental and medical school educational programs
- Supervise medical students, residents, and other trainees in the clinical setting
- Attend and participate in departmental and medical school administrative and committee activities
Requirements
- M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree
- Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency training program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
