Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure): Clinical-Open Rank in Radiation Oncology
About the role
The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position in Radiation Oncology. This position will begin in the Fall of 2025.
Responsibilities
- Primary management of cases
- Instruction of veterinary students and technicians
- Mentorship of interns and residents
- Occasional after-hours emergency coverage
- Education of professional students in the integrated curriculum
- Active supervision of house officers
- Participation in topic rounds, journal club, and backup support
- Collaboration in research opportunities
Requirements
- DVM degree (or equivalent)
- Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR)-Radiation Oncology or completed an ACVR-Radiation Oncology approved residency and met the requirements for the board examination in Radiation Oncology
- Licensed or eligible for regular or special licensing to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Texas
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Candidates should also have a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and a passion for advancing veterinary oncology.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in using advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies are essential.
