About the role
The Faculty of Applied Languages (English Department) at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt is seeking to hire a full-time, faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor.
- Holds a Ph.D. in Translation and Interpretation
- At least 7 years of teaching experience after Ph.D.
- Experience teaching English Language as ESP and ESL and Translation
- Engaged, collaborative, and creative
This position will begin on September 3, 2023. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
Teaching (3-4 courses/semester), student advising, research and creative activities, service and cooperative extension, and administrative responsibilities.
- Time spent in the classroom, laboratory, or telecommunications courses
- Maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught
- Preparing teaching materials
- Conferring with students on course materials
- Reviewing written examinations and papers
- Evaluating presentations and supervising independent study projects
Requirements
The Faculty of Applied Languages offers undergraduate’s Degree in Translation and Simultaneous Interpreting in English. The faculty also enjoys positive working relationships with South Sinai organizations.

Qualifications
