About the role
The Faculty of Applied Languages (English Department) at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt is seeking to hire a full-time, faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
Responsibilities
- Teaching (3-4 courses/semester)
- Student advising
- Research and creative activities
- Service and cooperative extension
- Administrative responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom, laboratory, or telecommunications courses and in immediate preparation for them; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; conferring with students on course materials; reviewing written examinations and papers; evaluating presentations and supervising independent study projects.
Requirements
- Holds a Ph.D. in Translation, Literature or Linguistics
- At least 3 years of teaching experience after Ph.D.
- Experience of teaching English Language as ESP and ESL and Translation
Qualifications
- Engaged, collaborative, and creative
Skills
- Excellent command of English language
- Excellent use of computers in teaching
- Industry software competency
