Academic-General Endocrinologist

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assessing the physical status of clients through interview, health history, and physical examination.
• Formulating treatment plans for health problems and conducting follow-ups.
• Writing prescriptions for medication, blood tests, and routine diagnostic and follow-up studies.
• Evaluating the quality of care provided and recommending improvements.
• Sharing clinical expertise with personnel.
• Documenting and reporting care accurately and promptly.

Essential Functions

• Provides assessment, management, and outcome evaluation for patients in outpatient settings.
• Educates patients, families, and staff about their health conditions and treatments.
• Writes prescriptions for medication, blood tests, and diagnostic studies.
• Evaluates the quality of care provided and recommends changes for improvement.
• Shares clinical expertise with healthcare personnel.
• Documents and reports care in an accurate and timely manner.

Other Functions

• Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Medical Doctorate degree.
• Epic EMR experience is preferred.
• Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
• Physician license for the state of Kentucky.
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Internal Medicine and BC/BE in Endocrinology.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
