Academic General Pediatrician

About the role

The Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Utah is seeking a full-time pediatrician to join their faculty of clinician-educators and researchers. The Division works collaboratively to provide comprehensive team-based care, educate future health care providers, conduct research, and engage in advocacy for normally developing children and those with special health care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in primary care ambulatory clinics and at the University Hospital Well Baby and Intermediate Care Nurseries
• May include evening and weekend shifts primarily at the University Pediatric Clinic and Sugar House Health Centers
• Take telephone call as needed by the Division
• Participate in educating future health care providers
• Conduct research
• Engage in advocacy for normally developing children and children with special health care needs

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Pediatrics
• Proficient with performing circumcisions and precepting these procedures with learners
• Able to work some evenings and weekend shifts

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching and quality improvement projects is preferred
• An interest in establishing and building the Medically Unexplained Physical Symptoms program and/or experience in caring for children with complex medical conditions is preferred

Pay

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule
