Academic Coach

About the role

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as part-time Academic Coaches. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working flexible hours in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Support all ages and subject matters at each of our seven locations across the Greater Houston Area.
• Support Elementary & Middle School students in Core Subjects: Language Arts, History, Natural Sciences, Math (incl Alg I), and Test Prep (ISEE).
• Support High School students in Advanced Coursework: AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Calculus BC, Geometry, and Test Prep (ACT, SAT, ISEE).
• Support High School students in Advanced Coursework: AP Literature, AP US History, AP World History, and Test Prep (ACT, SAT, ISEE).

Requirements

• Available 15+ hours per week, including at least 4 hours on Sundays (Our session hours: Mon–Fri, 3:00–9:30pm & Sun, 10:00am–6:00pm).
• Attend and complete paid training and shadowing with experienced coaches.
• W-2 employment status.

Qualifications

• Excel at explaining academic content in a clear, engaging way.
• Love building relationships and helping students gain confidence.
• Attending or have graduated from a 4-year university.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Passion for education and learning.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule
