Academic Advisor (Student Services Professional IB)
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it). Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Output ONLY the HTML fragment — no /, no markdown code fences. We need to extract substantive content: Position Summary (About the role), Key Responsibilities, Why Join Us? (maybe Benefits? Actually it's more like reasons to join, could be under Benefits? But we have Benefits section for compensation and benefits. Why Join Us is more like selling points; could be under "About the role" or separate? The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can map: - About the role: Position Summary paragraph. - Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities bullet list. - Qualifications: Education And Experience + Key Qualifications (maybe combine). - Skills: maybe part of Qualifications? But we can include Skills as separate if there is explicit skill list. There's "Key Qualifications" includes self-motivation, detail oriented, knowledge, communication, creativity, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, background in subject area. That's more like qualifications/skills. We could put them under Qualifications (or Skills). The instruction says we can have Qualifications and Skills sections. We'll decide: Qualifications: Education And Experience. Skills: Key Qualifications (the list). Or combine. But we need to avoid thin sections. Perhaps better to have Qualifications (including education/experience) and Skills (the list). That yields two substantive sections. - Benefits: Compensation And Benefits section includes salary range and benefits details. Also Pay: maybe we can include salary range under Pay. Benefits: list of benefits. Schedule: The posting includes "Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position is eligible for telecommuting up to one day per week, following the one-year probationary period during which on-site presence is required." That's schedule info. So we can have Schedule section. - Pay: The compensation includes salary range: CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,482-6342/month; hiring salary not expected to exceed $4,482/month. So we can have Pay section with that. - Benefits: list of benefits: Generous Time Off: 15 paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Retirement: CalPERS pension plan with retiree healthcare, and reciprocal agreements... Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision options at low or no cost. Education Support: CSU tuition fee waiver for employees and eligible dependents. Optional Offerings: FlexCash, life and disability insurance, legal and pet plans. Campus & Community: Access to the library, campus events, employee groups, and volunteer and social activities. We need to avoid boilerplate like EEO, etc. Also remove "Supplemental Information Apply by October 1, 2026..." that's application instruction, remove. Also remove "Position Information Full-time, benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.Position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position is eligible for telecommuting up to one day per week, following the one-year probationary period during which on-site presence is required." We'll use that for Schedule. Also remove "Department Summary" maybe not needed as a heading; but it's substantive description of college. Could be part of About the role? Might be extra but we can include as part of About the role? The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include department summary somewhere. Could be under About the role (makes sense). Or we could add a separate section like "Department Overview" but not in allowed headings. So we incorporate into About the role. Also "Position Information" includes full-time etc. That's schedule/benefits? We'll incorporate full-time into Schedule maybe. We need to avoid duplication. Let's extract sections: About the role: Position Summary paragraph + Department Summary paragraph (maybe combine). Also maybe include "Position Information" full-time etc? But that's more schedule. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities bullet list (each bullet as
- ).
Qualifications: Education And Experience paragraph (maybe also include "Possession of this knowledge..." etc). That's the qualifications.
Skills: Key Qualifications bullet list (self-motivation etc). Could be list.
Pay: Salary range info.
Benefits: list of benefits.
Schedule: work hours, telecommuting info.
We must not create sections with placeholder text. All have real content.
We need to format as HTML fragment: use
for each section heading. Then under each, either
for prose or
- for lists.
We must not include any extra text outside HTML.
Let's craft.
