About the role
Mays Business School is seeking an Academic Advisor I to help drive engagement and empower students to achieve their academic and career goals.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with students and assist with clarifying procedures and academic requirements for specific programs or majors at Mays.
- Ensure students have everything they need to reach their goals and achieve more.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field. No prior experience required.
- Preferred Experience: TAMU Academic Advising experience. Experience with higher education information management systems such as Howdy and Compass, etc. Familiarity with Mays undergraduate curriculum.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency level of novice in initiating, building, and maintaining effective relationships, communicating with others in a clear and concise manner, researching information, collaborating with others, actively listening, organizing, prioritizing, and working effectively on simultaneous projects. Proficiency level of advanced beginner in using various computer programs and working with confidential information.
