ABA Therapist / RBT - Behavior Stabilization Program

About the role

The Behavior Stabilization Program (BSS) at Interactive Kids is seeking experienced ABA staff to support students with significant behavioral needs. Students often struggle in traditional classroom settings due to behaviors like aggression, elopement, self-injury, or severe dysregulation. The goal is to help students build stability, strengthen replacement skills, and prepare for less restrictive environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct 1:1 behavioral support services
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Utilize proactive behavior supports and approved crisis intervention procedures when necessary
• Support students in building communication, coping, emotional regulation, and social skills
• Work across school, stabilization, community, or home-based settings depending on program needs
• Collect behavioral data and maintain accurate session documentation
• Participate in team collaboration and case discussions
• Support newer staff through modeling and guidance when assigned
• Assist with personal care tasks when needed, including hygiene, feeding, and toileting support
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment

Requirements

• RBT Certification is preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting individuals with behavioral or developmental challenges
• Comfortable working with high-intensity behaviors and crisis situations
• Ability to stay regulated, patient, and professional under pressure
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a collaborative team
• Open to feedback, learning, and ongoing skill development
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs when necessary

Pay

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): $25/hour
• ABA Therapist: $23/hour
