Full-time, rotating shifts (D/E/N), 8 and 12-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends per unit policy. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

About the Role

In an inpatient setting, this role supports standards of care and provides consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. You will support activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, contributing to goal achievement through personal action and facilitation of others. Responsibilities include participation in community and professional organizations to promote nursing's visibility and future.

As part of a dynamic, collaborative care team, you will work on a 24-bed medical unit, clinically mentoring staff to meet their ongoing educational needs. The role involves creative performance improvement initiatives, participation in annual performance evaluations, quarterly check-in meetings with staff, and collaboration with the leadership team on employee engagement initiatives. Patient and staff satisfaction is a key focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert patient care and serve as a resource and consultant within the unit and service.
  • Communicate effectively within the unit and service to support patient outcomes.
  • Participate in the management of human resources, including recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes at the unit, program, or service level.
  • Mentor staff to meet ongoing educational needs.
  • Lead and participate in creative performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations and quarterly check-in meetings with staff.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on employee engagement initiatives.
  • Uphold strong communication skills to support patient and staff satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recent acute care experience.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $97,760.00 - $131,976.00. Individual annual salaries will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
