About the role

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily activities such as household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and more.
• Aiding in medical appointments, banking, community involvement, and other social activities.
• Administering medications as per the Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
• Evacuating individuals from the home safely in case of emergencies.
• Maintaining certifications and following agency policies and DDS regulations.

Qualifications

• Commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Variety of interests and connections in the local community.
• Proven track record of responsible behavior.
• Ability to work collaboratively and creatively.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with daily use of a car on site (preferred).
• Age 21 or older with reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Pay

$17.50-$19.00 per hour.
